Batman: Return to Arkham is the latest PlayStation 4 game (well, package of games, since it contains remasters of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City ) to receive a patch for the PS4 Pro. Since it released in October, the game has had some performance issues, which today’s update aims to fix.
Version 1.02’s meager list of changes includes fixes for “intermittent crashing issues [that] have been addressed to provide improved gameplay stability” and “performance/hitching issues [that] have been improved for a more smooth and consistent framerate.” Also included are some visual upgrades, though apparently the game is even worse off than before, according to some players .
Batman: Return to Arkham isn’t the first game to have performance issues on the PS4 Pro. Here’s hoping developers will be increasingly able to iron these issues out before they release their games in the future.
