The results are in. Numbers have come in concerning console sales in November 2015, and there is a clear winner. Sony has come forward with preliminary results, and the PlayStation 4 “won.” You know, if you consider sales to be an indication of which system is best.
The NPD Group has its results in. The PlayStation 4 sold best. It was also the biggest sales month ever for the PlayStation Store. This was the Xbox One’s “best November ever” according to Microsoft, but it wasn’t enough to make it the top console. The Wii U came in third, naturally. Liam Callahan, a NPD analyst, said, “After 25 months, the combined sales for the PS4 and the XBO are 47 percent higher than the combined sales for 25 months of PS3 and Xbox 360 hardware sales.” So really, both systems are doing well.
The best selling software for November was also revealed. Call of Duty: Black Ops III came in first, followed by Fallout 4 , Star Wars: Battlefront , and NBA 2K16 . The real surprise there was seeing Just Dance 2016 come in at tenth place, behind FIFA 16 , Need for Speed , Halo 5 , and Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate . I guess that’s why Ubisoft keeps making those.
