In an interview with Shack News, Double Fine head Tim Schafer admitted that his studio would love to make sequels to Brutal Legend and Psychonauts. Unfortunately, as is the case in any business, reaction (i.e. sales numbers) of Brutal Legend will dictate whether either game will see a sequel. Nevertheless, comments such as, “that would be great. I would love that. We’ll have to wait and see,” and “that’d be awesome, wouldn’t it? I think that would be awesome,” will have to suffice. While these are decidedly noncommittal answer, at least we know Double Fine would like to make it happen if fans are willing to shell out the dough.
