Yes, it’s a crossover that folks around the water cooler have discussed many times, but now it’s actually happening. Resident Evil 6 and Left 4 Dead 2 are getting crossover content.
The first piece of crossover content comes in the form of a free download for Resident Evil 6. The pack will allow the Left 4 Dead 2 protagonists to be chosen as characters to choose in The Mercenaries: No Mercy mode. In addition, the Witch and Mini-Tank zombies will be integrated into No Mercy as enemies. The content will be available on April 5 th , two weeks after the game’s PC release, and will be available on the PC version of the game only.
On the Left 4 Dead side, Resident Evil zombies will be integrated into Left 4 Dead 2. The Lepotista, Napad, and Ogroman zombies will appear in the game as special infected sometime this spring. The zombies were recreated with Steam Workshop tools right down to their gruesome character models. Let’s hope that you will be able to take control of them and their special abilities in versus mode as well. Once again, this content will be available on the PC version only.
