Video Mods, the show that merges popular video game characters and settings with popular music videos, returns to MTV2 this fall. Alex Coletti, Executive Producer at MTV2 commented, “The new season of Video Mods is going to bring the worlds of music videos, animation, and game development together in a completely inventive fashion. By combining some of our audience’s biggest passions, we’re extending the life of some of the most popular video games and characters through the world of music and is representative of the type of programming that we strive for at MTV2.”
So, who can you expect on Video Mods this fall? The premier episode featured Franz Ferdinand’s song “Take Me Out” with Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith video game, Sum 41’s “Pieces” with Destroy All Humans!, Good Charlotte’s “Predictable” with Darkwatch, and My Chemical Romance’s “I’m Not Okay (I Promise)” with Death Jr. You can expect videos from Beastie Boys, Ciara, Yellowcard, Taking Back Sunday, and The Killers combined with NBA Street V3, Medal of Honor European Assault, Dance Dance Revolution, Silent Hill, and Lineage II:the Chaotic Chronicle later in the season.
A new and exciting feature this season is the ability for viewers to get online and create their own mods.
