Here’s something super surprising. Saints Row IV is a three year old game. You can get it for $14.99 normally, and $3.74 when it goes on sale, like it is right now. It’s aged well, but clearly its day in the sun has come and gone. Except, when you least expect it, Volition comes around and adds Steam Workshop mod support out of nowhere!
The Saints Row IV mod support will completely change the game. Literally. It offers basic updates, like the ability to have new clothes and mods, but also gets more extensive with gameplay values that can be changed and custom scripts support. Already, things like new weapons and outfits have been added.
And why was Saints Row IV mod support even added? Because Volition loves us. As the official statement says, “A handful of dedicated Volition devs worked on this in their free time to update the engine and remove memory restrictions, as well as finding a way for individual mods to interact and work correctly with each other without the need for running special tools.” That’s dedication, and we certainly appreciate it!
