Sega Sells Arcade Business

Sega will be selling its Japanese arcade business to Genda, according to a recent announcement by Sega Sammy, Sega’s parent company.

Gena will be receiving 85.1 percent of Sega Entertainment, the company’s arcade business located in Japan. Sega Sammy also revealed that COVID-19 led to significant losses earlier this year for the arcade and amusement centers as a result of a pandemic.

This sale will not have an impact on the video game side of the business.

Celebrity Cameo Coming to Assassin’s Creed

The upcoming game, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla , will feature a character named Otta Sluggasson, whose face is modeled after the Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder, Cody Bellinger.

Cody Bellinger provided the voice acting and motion capture for the character, who will, fittingly, use a club to hit rocks long distances. In an interview with ESPN, Bellinger claimed to be a fan of the game, remarked that it was “pretty cool to be a Viking,” and revealed that it isn’t possible to fight his character in the game.

Players will be able to encounter Otta Sluggasson soon when Assassin’s Creed Valhalla releases on November 10 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC, and Stadia . The game will release on November 12 for the PlayStation 5.
