Snake Eater 3D Dated, Sticky

Snake Eater 3D Dated, Sticky

None

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is held aloft by many as a shining example of what can happen when Kojima’s games are so firmly entrenched in pop-culture that they lose sight of their status as a game. An extremely complete experience, it mixes the series’ trademark stealth component with a survival aspect, demanding that Snake be fed to maintain his stamina and treated for his more serious injuries. It also does away with the Soliton radar from the first two Metal Gear Solid entries—this is a prequel, after all—and the knowledge of enemy line-of-sight provided therein.

Its 3DS port will be the fifth version of it released, from Snake Eater to Subsistence to the Metal Gear Solid Collection (PS2) to the Metal Gear HD Collection (X360/PS3). This is also only the second time it will be on a non-Sony console, and the first time on a handheld, but now in 3D! The game can be yours Tuesday, February 21. Further, it will support the 3DS’ Circle Pad Pro attachment, for additional camera control.

I might just have to buy this game a third time.
