Shahid Kamal Ahmad took to Twitter recently to express his excitement for PlayStation’s near future. Why do we care, and who is Shahid Kamal Ahmad? Ahmad is the Strategic Content Director at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. He’s a behind-the-scenes kind of guy, and he’s the one that makes a lot of deals to bring some of the best indie games to the PlayStation and the Vita. He works with bigger studios as well. Bottom line: if he’s excited, you should be excited.
It his tweet he stated that “One day I will have to tell you why this week was so momentous,” further teasing, “If you could only see what I have seen (and signed).” Of course, various users barraged Ahmad with questions and comments trying to draw out any additional information. One user asked if we could expect to see something exciting at Paris Games Week (October 28 – November 1), and Ahmad hinted that we might see the fruits of his labor there.
Speculation is running wild; some people are hoping for a new Crash Bandicoot , others are convinced that we’ll see some new Final Fantasy VII Remake footage. While I doubt we’ll see either by the end of the month, I won’t blame you for holding your breath.
