Sony's Jack Tretton Foreshadows E3 2010; Killzone 3 in Development, Agent Update, and More

None

Over on GameTrailers TV, an interesting interview video was published that provided some guidance for Sony fans. CEO and President of Sony Computer Entertainment of America, Jack Tretton, told Geoff Keighley that Sony has a lot in store for E3 2010 and beyond.

Perhaps the most interesting comment was that, while we’re not likely to see an announcement in June, Killzone 3 is in fact in development, stating “Well, we own Guerrilla Games and they did a great job on Killzone 1 and 2. I don’t know if you’ll see announcements about it, but I can promise you a Killzone 3.” In other words, best case scenario says we’ll see Killzone 3 Holiday 2011.

Also of note, Agent, the Rockstar Games’ Sony exclusive, is still slated to release only on the PS3. Additionally, PlayStation Move will see a host of far more important and compelling announcements at E3 2010 than what has already been shown off at GDC.

Finally, those of you worried about paying for online PS3 content can rest a bit easier. According to Mr. Tretton, current features will remain free. If Sony switches to a subscription-based service, he promises that the content will merit users shelling out extra cash. He expanded upon that thought by stating that Sony will always try and avoid hawking hardware and software products that are “half-cocked”.
