StarCraft: Remastered Releasing This Summer

StarCraft: Remastered Releasing This Summer

It’s been rumored for a while and then confirmed, but now we finally have a release date for StarCraft: Remastered . It will apparently be heading to worldwide PCs on August 14 for $14.99. The remastered version of the game has totally updated graphics from not only the original StarCraft but also the Brood War expansion. New matchmaking and leaderboards will go in place with cross-play between the remastered version and the original. You’ll be able to keep track of your individual stats with player profiles. The audio in the game will be equally remastered to go along with the visuals. And for those that are super curious about how things have been updated, you’ll be able to switch between the original StarCraft and the Remastered version with one button.

For those planning to pre-order StarCraft: Remastered , you’ll get three building skins in the game: Char Hive, Korhal Command Center, and Aiur Nexus. Also you’ll get Alexei Stukov as a co-op commander in StarCraft II , as well as three portraits based on StarCraft: Remastered .

StarCraft: Remastered will be localized in English, Brazilian Portuguese, European and Latin American Spanish, French, German, Italian, Polish, Russian, Korean, Japanese, and simplified/traditional Chinese. So most everyone should have the chance to play it when it releases on August 14!
