Last Friday, Gamesradar conducted an interview with Street Fighter V Producer Yoshinori Ono in which he stated that the game is definitely going to surprise everyone. He added that the team spent 7 years developing Street Fighter IV and reviving a passion that he now hopes to expand with the next game in the series. He closed by saying that they are aiming to create a title that will not only cater to fans, but attract new audiences to the franchise as well.
Street Fighter V was originally announced during Sony’s PlayStation Experience event in Las Vegas last December. The game is scheduled to launch on both PC and PS4 sometime in 2016.
Since this is a console exclusive PS4 title that also offers cross-platform play with PC, it seems inevitable that more people will be drawn to the game. I personally can’t wait to see what’s different about it and whether or not Ono is right on his claims.
