If you are a fan of speedruns, then you are in luck. The latest speedrunning festival, Summer Games Done Quick, hosted by Speed Demos Archives and Speed Runs Live. The charity drive is raising money fo Doctors Without Borders by playing video games for seven straight days. Speedrunners will play over 150 games, from Mega Man , to Metroid , from I Wanna Be the Boshy , to Octodad , from Portal 2 , to Warcraft 3 . There are several donation incentives, including extra games to play, hilarious shirtless arm wrestling moments, blindfolded runs, and more.
In January, AGDQ raised over one million dollars. Will SGDQ raise more this year? We will just have to wait and find out. Until then, check out the official SGDQ schedule and tune in for your favorite speed runs.
