Super Nintendo World Coming to Osaka

Super Nintendo World Coming to Osaka

Universal Studios Japan’s first Nintendo park has been revealed. In 2020, in time for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Super Nintendo World will open. Concept art was revealed for the area of the park, as well as more details concerning what will be there. It looks like it’s going to be huge.

Universal Studios Japan’s development cost for Super Nintendo World will be over 50 billion yen. That’s over $432 million. The money will go into making interactive areas, rides, restaurants, and shops. It will replace some parking areas at Universal Studios Japan, as well as area that had already been earmarked for expansions. It will basically set a precedent, with Universal Studios Hollywood and Orlando’s areas following after Super Nintendo World’s 2020 release.

I was trying to scour the initial image for clues, but so far it looks very Super Mario . Both Bowser and Peach’s castles appear, as does a Toad House. There’s a hill that looks like one you’d see in Super Mario 3D World . Anything stand out to anyone else?
