The Duke And Zelda Just Can’t Keep Zumba Down

The Duke And Zelda Just Can’t Keep Zumba Down

The United Kingdom has Zumba fever. A perennial favorite since its release, Zumba Fitness has held the top spot on the UK sales chart numerous times, seeing repeated and inexplicable spikes in sales following the initial release of big-name core titles.

The Latin-infused fitness game’s latest victims, however, are absolutely legendary. Following Zumba Fitness, in the number two spot we have the newly-released Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and, in third, Duke Nukem Forever.

Duke Nukem Forever’s sales have slipped 58 percent since the previous week, which isn’t too surprising following the initial “honeymoon period” that highly-anticipated titles tend to enjoy. But it comes as a downright shock that a Zelda title—specifically, a remastered edition of one of the most beloved entries in a stellar franchise—debuted at second, even after having sold to approximately 20 percent of all UK 3DS owners.

Could Zumba Fitness be this year’s Just Dance?
