The Gears of War 3 campaign trailer is finally here. It shows us one minute of intense action, Locust attacks, explosions, and Black Sabbath—basically, everything a Gears fan could want. One thing that really stands out is the sense of scale and quantity. Some of the creatures you’ll be fighting against are absolutely titan in size. And when they aren’t gigantic, they’re attacking in large numbers. But the most interesting thing for those following the Gears storyline comes at the very beginning of the trailer: a character presumed dead since the first Gears of War is apparently still alive. That’s right, it looks like in Gears 3, Marcus Fenix may finally be reunited with his long lost father. It certainly looks like the Gears trilogy will go out with a bang.  Gears of War 3 is scheduled to hit shelves on September 20 in North America (September 22 in Japan.) We’re going to be seeing a bit more of this title at E3, and we’re definitely excited about it.
