Let’s be frank. Games are going to sell virtual reality headsets. If a company’s peripheral doesn’t have good applications behind it, it’s going to flail, then fail. Sony seems to be quite aware of that, because it’s shipping out its PlayStation VR with a rather robust demo disc. When people pick up this headset, it’ll come with samples of 18 different games.
The PlayStation VR’s demo disc seems to represent some rather promising games and will be available both on a physical disc in the peripheral’s box and digitally on the PlayStation Store. Here’s the full list.

While this PlayStation VR demo disc will be great for the practical and obvious reasons, it’s also a good thing for Sony to show off. It has enough games and experiences lined up to offer 18 examples. That’s quite a coup. Being able to boast that sort of list should inspire quite a bit of confidence in the company and device.
