The Witcher 3’s Latest Exploit Involves Blood & Wine

The Witcher 3’s Latest Exploit Involves Blood & Wine

There’s a great way to earn money in The Witcher 3’ s Blood & Wine expansion via an exploit, but there’s a catch. Two, really. First, you need to have a save game made before patch 1.21 was released on May 31. Second, you need to be really good at using Aard. Here’s how it works, courtesy of Kotaku.

You want Willis the Dwarf smith in White Orchard to die, basically. But, not right away. First, buy as many of his wares as possible, to increase the amount of money he has on hand. Then, head northeast of Willis’ shop to the two winery and farm buildings outside of town, near the dock on the lake. Find the beehive with Geralt’s senses. Use Aard to knock it down. Then, use Aard to roll it back to Willis. It’s a delicate process, since you can’t use Aard when you’re too near this friendly NPC, but you do need to roll the beehive to him for what we’re going to call Death by Bees.

Once the beehive’s there and the bees are attacking, you kick back and relax. After he dies, meditate for at least an hour. The old Willis’ corpse will still be there, but there’ll also be a new Willis. Wait until he dies. Rinse. Repeat. Do this as long as you need to get as much money as you’d like. Once you see enough bodies lying around, go ahead and take everything off of him for your own purposes.

To see it in action, here’s Luke Plunkett taking it step by step.

Is this morbid? Absolutely. Will it make Geralt’s life better? Definitely. Make sure you give this The Witcher 3 exploit a try before it’s patched out of the game!
