Well this is a lovely surprise, isn’t it? Yesterday I reported that some mysterious new PS4 trophies might be hinting at a re-release of Dead Rising on the PS4. This would make sense, as Dead Rising 4 has been confirmed to be a timed exclusive for Xbox One and Windows 10, so the series was destined to end up on other platforms eventually. The original would totally hold up today with a little bit of TLC, and I’d be more than excited to play it on my PS4. As it turns out, PS4 owners will be getting three different Dead Rising games to add to their backlogs.
Capcom revealed today that it is releasing Dead Rising for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Additionally, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising: Off the Record will be coming to Xbox One and PS4 (those two games are already available on PC). We still don’t have an official release date for any of these re-releases, and we don’t know the extent to which they’re being enhanced for the PS4 and Xbox One. You can look forward to playing Dead Rising 4 this holiday season, first on Windows 10, and then on Xbox One 90 days later.
