Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD Will Be Removed from Steam

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD Will Be Removed from Steam

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD , a sort of amalgamation of the first few Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games, is going to be leaving Steam. The delisting is set to happen on July 17, or this coming Monday. In the meantime, the game has been severely discounted. The price has been cut down to a grand total of $2. The price of its DLC, which adds content and features from Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 , remains unchanged.

No reason has been provided for the game’s removal, although when this happens it’s almost always down to licensing issues. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD contains licensed music tracks, so that’s the probable culprit.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD is also on sale on Xbox 360 and PS3, although no news has broken as to the game’s status on those platforms. It may be wise to pick it up on the other platforms if you want it, just in case it leaves those storefronts too.

This has happened several times in the recent past, mostly within the realm of Activision-published superhero games. Some of these games have cropped up again in port or remaster forms, however. That said, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD wasn’t very well-received, so I wouldn’t expect it to show back up again anytime soon.
