Activision really wants to get people playing Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare , an installment that’s proven to be one of its most divisive. How? By giving it away for free temporarily. Between December 15-20, people can enjoy every part of the game without paying for it. They’ll have access to some of the solo campaign, the zombies multiplayer, and regular multiplayer.
Here’s how the whole offer works. Once it goes live on the PlayStation Store or Xbox Store, you download the 60GB Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare free trial. PlayStation 4 players can go through the first two campaign levels for free and without PlayStation Plus, but need the service for the zombies and multiplayer modes. Meanwhile, Xbox One owners must have Xbox Live Gold to enjoy all elements. You can get to level 3 in zombies and level 15 in the standard multiplayer.
This is a perfect means of sampling the game before the holidays. If you enjoy Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare , then you may have opportunities to get it cheap during year end sales. If you don’t, then you didn’t waste any money on this installment. Just make sure you have enough room for the free trial on your hard drive!
