Ubisoft Lays Out Watch Dogs 2 DLC Plans for 2017

Ubisoft Lays Out Watch Dogs 2 DLC Plans for 2017

Watch Dogs 2 is keeping on keeping on, and Ubisoft has dropped a blog post outlining the game’s hefty DLC plans for this year. A mixture of new, free content and the No Compromise pack is adding a ton of new stuff, including expansions to multiplayer.

It all starts on April 17. For free, players get Showdown, a set of PVP, team-based online game modes. Motocross, ekart and drone races will be added to multiplayer. A non-lethal paintball weapon along with new clothing is also on the list, along with an armored truck. Showdown was originally going to be a paid element included in No Compromise.

The No Compromise pack includes a new Dedsec operation called Moscow Gambit, six new time trials, fireman, paramedic, and police clothing sets and vehicles, and the non-lethal air shotgun and sniper stun rifle. The Moscow Gambit story mission was the only thing originally scheduled to arrive in this pack, as the other items are replacements for Showdown. The No Compromise pack will come to the PlayStation 4 first on April 18, then launch for the Xbox One and PC on May 18.

May will also see some new free content coming to Watch Dogs 2 as well. “seamless PVP support” is being added to the armored truck feature and a new PVE event will start as well. Gameplay tweaks and improvements will also be included, with adjustments being made to the leaderboard.

Finally, June will see the free addition of a 4-player co-op mode, which will let 4 players free roam in the city and play through activities together. This will come along with further “improvements and fixes.” That’s a lot of stuff! It’s good to see Watch Dogs 2 continue to be supported, despite a rocky start in sales.
