Ubisoft’s The Crew Delayed

Ubisoft’s The Crew Delayed

Sorry Crew fans! You’ll have to wait just a short while longer to slide behind the wheel of this open-world, social-media based racer.

We were informed today that, due to development delays, The Crew would now be pushed back until December 2 nd (instead of its original November 11 th drop). In their official statement, Ubisoft said this extra window will provide an opportunity for a “…second closed console beta to be held, giving even more players the opportunity to experience the game, which is something the community has been requesting. Like the betas held previously, valuable player feedback and other essential information will be gathered, further enhancing the experience.”

Julian Gerighty (the project’s creative director) remains optimistic in the face of the announcement, as he attempts to put a positive spin on the delay. “Our philosophy remains to deliver the best game possible. We’re all committed to delivering a revolutionary experience in the driving genre and we can’t wait for The Crew to be in the hands of the players” he touts.

We’ll bring you more once we learn what initially caused the hold-up, and info regarding the new closed beta period that is scheduled to go live sometime in the next few weeks.
