Unreal Engine Now Runs In Flash

The guys at Epic Games have managed to make the Unreal Engine 3 run on Adobe Flash Player 11. This means that games built for high-end consoles can play on the web or even on Facebook. Heck, this means that most of them will be able to be run from any smartphone that handles flash.

This isn’t just a theoretical thing either. During a keynote at Adobe MAX 2011, Epic Games showed a live demo of Unreal Tournament 3 being run inside a webpage.

So, how long will it take before we see stuff like Gears of War on Facebook? I can’t wait to get the status update that says my friend just blew up three million cogs.
