Watch Dogs 2 Isn’t Playing AR Games

Watch Dogs 2 Isn’t Playing AR Games

Watch Dogs is a series that’s heavy on hacking and technology. So, naturally, our in-game players can enjoy the same sorts of silly games we play on our own phones, only virtually. In Watch Dogs , this meant two AR games. Watch Dogs 2 is dumping those in the sequel.

In Watch Dogs, players could play a shooting game called NVZN with their phones or what was a not-endless runner called Cash Run. Both of these will be absent in Watch Dogs 2 . Danny Belanger, the game’s director, told GamingBolt that there’ll be more of the city to explore and interact with in exchange. Which sounds like a good tradeoff. More side quests and secrets are better than a minigame or two you may never play!

We’re going to get to play Watch Dogs 2 in November on our PlayStation 4s, Xbox Ones, and PCs. I’m excited, are you? What I saw at E3 2016 really impressed me, and it seems like there’s a lot more to see and do in San Francisco.
