Watch Dogs 2’s Ending Has Been Updated

Watch Dogs 2’s Ending Has Been Updated

Despite rocky sales, Ubisoft is playing the long game with Watch Dogs 2. It’s likely due to its critical success compared to the first game. To that end, a new update hit the game, and it’s huge – over 10GB. A pretty intriguing nugget of information is hidden among all the new in-game content that’s being added.

The update is ostensibly in place to prepare Watch Dogs 2’ s infrastructure for its upcoming downloadable content, but players have also discovered the game’s ending has been expanded. A spoiler warning obviously applies here. Ready?

After the normal ending, a bonus scene is unlocked featuring a mysterious, recorded conversation. The real intrigue lies in the video’s title, however. The name of the recording it “51.462014, -0.112504.” These are coordinates, pointing to London’s Brixton district. There’s no indication any of the Watch Dogs 2 DLC has anything to do with London, so this very well could be pointing to the next game’s setting.

Ubisoft is no stranger to doing this sort of thing. Almost every Assassin’s Creed game has Easter eggs tucked away and pointing to new settings or hints for sequels. There’s a real chance we’ll soon be getting a look at the goofy tech world of Watch Dogs intersecting with Ubisoft’s interpretation of British culture.
