Watch Dogs 2 Update Introduces 4-Player Party Mode

Watch Dogs 2 Update Introduces 4-Player Party Mode

A while back, Ubisoft announced that a 4-player multiplayer mode would be added to Watch Dogs 2 , and it’s finally coming. Not only is the 4-Player Party Mode coming to the game on July 4, but it’s coming totally free of charge. With this update, players will be able to launch multiplayer content on-demand, rather than the spawning system that was in place before.

From the in-game smartphone, players will be able to start a private or public “party mode,” which opens up the free-roaming portion of Watch Dogs 2 to up to four players. Groups of friends will be able to take advantage of any sandbox features, as well as participate in specific activities that have been balanced for four players. Available will be Bounty, Invastion, PcP Loot Truck, Races, Showd0wn, Robot Boss Fight and DedSec – Virus. The co-op missions will not be available, as they were designed with only two players in mind.

The update also comes with an in-game celebration for the Fourth of July. This event will run from July 4 to July 10. Fireworks will appear every night in party mode, and red, white and blue paintballs will be available for shenanigans. And, of course, there will be various bug fixes too.
