Well-Known Female Producer Quits Ubisoft

In an announcement that took some by surprise, long-time producer and veteran game advocate Jade Raymond has decided to end her tenure at the iconic studio.

In her official exit-statement, Raymond touts her happiness with the progression of the Toronto based office and states the choice to leave was not an easy one to make. “I’ve spent 10 extraordinary years at Ubisoft, and I am proud to have been part of many of the best teams in the industry making truly remarkable games. This is one of the hardest decisions of my career, but the Toronto studio is strong and on a solid path. I’m confident that now is a good time for me to transition leadership of the studio to Alex and to pursue my other ambitions and new opportunities.” She says.

While Raymond’s path in the gaming industry is still unclear (we’ll keep you posted once we know more), this marks a new beginning for Alexandre Parizeau, who will take the reigns as director on October 29 th . Parizeau’s credits include a hand in the Splinter Cell franchise and 2012’s I Am Alive , among others. CEO Yannis Mallat later wished Raymound well in her future endeavors, while also touting the Canadian branch as “…a key part of the Ubisoft global network…”

We at CheatCC are betting this is not the last you’ve seen of Ms. Raymound…guaranteed.
