According to the recently released NPD US May data, Nintendo is doing much better than they were before. The release of Mario Kart 8 , which was the third best selling game in May, and the promise of Super Smash Bros. has seriously spurred the sale of Nintendo’s consoles. Wii U sales are up 85% over last April and 90% over last May. Not only that, but Reggie Fils-Aime has recently said that the Wii U is outselling the Xbox One! Is Nintendo back in this console race?
The 3DS is still selling amazingly as well. It has outsold nearly every other console, except for the PS4, in May. It too is receiving a sales boost from the promise of the new Smash , which will be coming out on the platform this October.
