Yo-Kai Watch Finally Headed West Sometime In 2016

Earlier today, Nintendo confirmed in a press release that Yo-Kai Watch is finally heading west sometime next year. Nintendo of America VP of Sales Scott Moffitt expressed his excitement over the series coming over to the States and is confident it will attract new audiences shortly thereafter.

Yo-Kai Watch is a series of vaguely Pokemon -esque 3DS role-playing games that are published and developed by Level-5. The franchise has currently made over 7 million in sales in Japan so far and is expected to exceed that number when brought over to the US, Europe, Latin America, Austria, New Zealand, and Korea in 2016.

Level-5 developed Ni no Kuni for both the Nintendo DS and PlayStation 3 several years ago. If Yo-Kai Watch proves to be as gripping and fun as that game, then they very well may have another hit on their hands.

Are any of you looking forward to playing Yo-Kai Watch on your 3DS? Please feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
