You can Sneakily Redownload the PT Silent Hills Demo

Silent Hills was one of the PlayStation 4’s greatest tragedies. The PT demo released for PlayStation 4 owners suggested a fantastically creepy Silent Hill game from Konami, Hideo Kojima, and Guillermo del Toro. Then everything went wrong, the demo was pulled from the PlayStation Store even if you’d already downloaded it, and the game was cancelled. Fortunately, people who somehow removed the PT demo from their PlayStation 4s have a chance to get it back again.

It takes a bit of work, so if you’re squeamish, now’s a good time to turn back. If you did download PT when it was available, you can redownload it by creating a proxy IP address with a program called SUWI. You connect the PlayStation 4 to this new connection, go to proxy, choose USE and SUWI’s address, as well as port 808. This little bit of finessing means PT will show up in your Library again on the console. Redownload it, then go back to your normal connection.

Here’s a video from Moreuse that takes you through the process step-by-step.

If you have additional questions, people at the Gamexeon forums can help. I was able to do it, and I’m always worried about this sort of thing, so you should find it an easy task too.
