Dead Space 2

Expected Release Date : January 25, 2011

Dead Space is less than two weeks away and the excitement is already tangible. The original game added a new term to our gamer vocabularies: strategic dismemberment, and I've made it a mission to use that term as often as possible. Dead Space 2 promises improved pacing, more variety, a plethora of new enemies and weapons, and a Left 4 Dead-inspired multiplayer mode that pits four soldiers against an equally sized team of Necromorphs.

It takes place three years after the original where Isaac Clarke has made his way to a massive space station called the Sprawl. Understandably, he's brought with him some baggage from the events in the first game so we can expect a good amount of psychological scares (like auditory and visual hallucinations) that will be a part of the game's arsenal of terror. This game is without a doubt a must-have for any fan of the genre, just make sure you lock the door, dial up the sound, and turn off the lights. Check out the full preview here!

Systems: Xbox 360, PS3, PC
Expected Release Date : May 2011

Alma's back, and this time she's pregnant with what could only be a Damien-esque demon child that'll undoubtedly bring doom upon the world. Lucky for us, Point Man is here to save the day, and this time with the help of bad guy turned good-ish guy Paxton Fettel. Point Man has a lot of the slow motion shooting we've come to expect from the series, while Fettel has an arsenal of special abilities including telekinesis and possession that are sure to mix up the gameplay quite a bit. F.3.A.R. marks the series' first foray into cooperative gameplay, with famed horror director John Carpenter (Halloween, The Thing) helping with the cinematics.

F.3.A.R. is slated for release in the US this May. Look here to read our full preview.
