Studio of the Year 2016

Blizzard Entertainment’s been busy this year, folks! They made CheatCC’s Game of the Year, Overwatch, released the World of Warcraft: Legion expansion, and put a little bit of Diablo into Diablo III with The Darkening of Tristram. This is in addition to regular updates for Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm. Blizzard Entertainment knows what it needs to do to succeed, and in 2016 proved they always know how to do it well.

Naughty Dog

Naughty Dog came in second to Blizzard! Again! Trust me, this is going to be a trend with the Cody Awards this year. The company's crown jewel in 2016 was Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, a gorgeous game that gave Nathan Drake the send-off he deserved. Keep an eye on them next year, though. This developer ended 2016 with a bang, announcing The Last of Us Part II and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.
