(PSP)
Coming out of left field, Unchained Blades is a first-person dungeon crawler for the PSP (coming to the 3DS digitally at an unannounced date this summer) that features anime-esque character art, a monster recruitment system, and some of the developers from the Lunar and Grandia series at its helm. The pedigree alone makes this a title worth checking out, while those who enjoyed series such as Etrian Odyssey will likely find that is scratches a familiar itch. Unchained Blades is out this Tuesday, June 26.
The Rest:
Hidden Gem of the Week:

(PC, XBLA)
There was a time when the curators of Penny Arcade felt that making games simply wasn't for them. This malaise followed on the heels of bringing the first two titles in the "On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness" series to Penny Arcade fans across the globe. The passage from idea into actual, digital product was a wearing one, which Holkins in particular found draining and frustrating.
But they're back, working with Zeboyd Games (Breath of Death VII/Cthulhu Saves the World) to continue the tale of Gabe and Tycho, paranormal investigators extraordinaire, alongside their retinue of allies. Callbacks are made in the form of classic enemies and reimagined areas, courtesy of Zeboyd's distinctive 16-bit JRPG stylings, though the combat system is something new for them, with a timer element à la Grandia. Adventure in a world of Penny Arcade's twisted imagining on Monday, June 25.
