Ike
Ike, from Fire Emblem glory, is going to be making his first Smash Bros. appearance in Brawl. He's one of the stronger characters and has a very big sword. But despite his big weapon he is also quite nimble and jumps rather quickly. But watch out for his finishing move, which is a single and potent stroke of his blade.
Will the self-proclaimed king of Dream Land be able to lord over the Smash Bros. universe? Well, with a giant mallet in-hand I would say that he does have a pretty good chance. And don't let that cute penguin exterior fool you. King Dedede is ready to smash all who get in his way, especially if it's a certain little pink poofball who seems to have eaten a rather controversial slice of strawberry shortcake…
Does this guy even need an introduction? Kirby is the trademark pink ball of fluff that has been making his name on Nintendo systems ever since his Game Boy debut all the way back in 1992. He's also been a staple of the Smash Bros. series for his uncanny ability to absorb the moves (and sometimes even the look) of his enemies by simply inhaling them for a few seconds. He is definitely a personal favorite, and I can say with confidence that it just wouldn't be a Smash Bros. game without Kirby.
The hero of Hyrule returns once again to fill his role as resident archer/swordsman/all around awesome guy. Link finds time to unwind from fighting perpetual bad guy Ganondorf by facing opponents on the grand arena of Super Smash Bros. His character design in Brawl will be based on his look from his latest console game, Zelda: Twilight Princess.
