Downwell Reloading
Although you have unlimited ammunition, you have to reload frequently. This happens automatically when your Gunboots hit the ground.
Stomping
You can kill some monsters by landing on top of them, in order to save ammunition. Land on turtles, bats, and jellies to kill them. However, this has no effect on snails or red orbs.
Gems
Gems can be found by killing enemies and destroying objects. Collect them to buy items from the shopkeeper and unlock new styles.
Upgrades
After completing a stage, you can select one of three upgrades. Upgrades are stackable, and remain through progressing through new stages. For example, Gunpowder Blocks allows blocks to fire bullets when destroyed, Gem Powered recharges your Gunboots when gems are collected, etc.
Easy “Sugoi Combo” achievement
You can get a 100 combo by playing through World 4 in Hard mode.
Steam achievements
Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding achievement. To view your achievements and stats in Steam, select “Community”, “My profile”, “View all my games”, then the game and view stats.
- Bye Frogs: Beat the first area.
- Bye Ghosts: Beat the second area.
- Bye Squids: Beat the third area.
- Bye Stuff: Beat the fourth area.
- Bye Well: Beat the boss.
- Careful Descent: Complete a level without taking damage.
- Frugality: Have more than 5000 gems.
- Ground Allergy: Complete a level without landing.
- Mottainai: Complete a level without shooting.
- Pacifist: Complete a level without killing any enemy.
- Saving Up: Have more than 3000 gems.
- So Many Frogs: Beat the first area (hard mode).
- So Many Ghosts: Beat the second area (hard mode).
- So Many Squids: Beat the third area (hard mode).
- So Much Stuff: Beat the fourth area (hard mode).
- Sugoi Combo: Land a 100 combo.
- Time Never Stops: Complete a level without visiting siderooms.
- Well Master: Beat the boss (hard mode).
- Whoa Combo: Land a 30 combo.
- Wow Combo: Land a 10 combo.
