Super Meat Boy
Play as Brownie
Note: This requires an Xbox 360 controller. Defeat the Boss at the end of the Salt Factory. Then at the character selection screen, press RB(3), B(3), X. Select any character except Gish or Alien Hominid to play as Brownie.
Play as Goo Ball
Select a level, then type ” Ballgoo ” at the character selection screen. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. Select a character to play as Goo Ball.
Play as Tim from Braid
Select a level, then type ” outtatime ” at the character selection screen. Select any character to play as Tim.
Play as Tofu Boy
Select a level, then type ” petaphile ” at the character selection screen. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. Select Meat Boy to play as Tofu Boy. Note: This code does not work on Glitch levels, Boss levels, or Warp Zones. Tofu Boy is a joke character in response to PETA’s parody of Super Meat Boy, Super Tofu Boy. Tofu Boy is weaker than Meat Boy. He moves slower, does not jump as high, and has less distance from jumping off a wall. To stop playing as Tofu Boy, pause the game, and select another character.
Glitch levels
Defeat the Boss of any chapter. Replay the levels in that chapter to randomly encounter a glitched version of Bandage Girl. Reach her to unlock a new Glitch level in that chapter.
Bonus characters
Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding character:
- 4 Color Meat Boy: Collect 80 bandages.
- 4-Bit Meat Boy: Collect 60 bandages.
- 8-Bit Meat Boy: Collect 40 bandages.
- Alien Hominid: Collect 30 bandages.
- Captain Viridian: Collect 90 bandages.
- Commander Video (Bit Trip): Successfully complete the Warp Zone in World 1.
- Flywrench: Successfully complete The Fly Guy! Warp Zone in World 4-18.
- Goo: Collect 10 bandages.
- Jill (Mighty Jill Off): Successfully complete the Warp Zone in World 2.
- Josef: Collect 30 bandages.
- Meat Ninja: Get a 100% game completion. Note: Leaderboards will be disabled while playing as this character.
- Mr. Minecraft: Collect 100 bandages.
- Naija: Collect 50 bandages.
- Ogmo (Jumper): Successfully complete The Jump Man! Warp Zone in World 3-16.
- Runman: Collect 70 bandages.
- The Headcrab: Collect 10 bandages.
- The Kid (I Wanna Be The Guy): Successfully complete The Guy! Warp Zone in World 5-7.
Save replays in Warp Zone levels
Immediately after reaching Bandage Girl in a Warp Zone level, press [Space] to view a replay. Then, you can save replays if desired. Note: This will not work while using an Xbox 360 controller.
Easy bandages
Get the bandage in Level 1-7, complete the level, and then replay it again to get another bandage. Repeat this as many times as desired. You can also do this in Dark World 2-6x and 2-7x and other levels. -From: Qyatt
Easy “Dr. Fetus Boy” achievement
Start with Level 6-5X: “No Quarter”, as it is the most difficult level in the chapter. Once completed, move to level 6-4X: “Maze Of Ith”, and be very careful with the middle rolling saws. Wait until the bigger ones pass to have more time to go up safely. After passing them, complete the other three levels in the correct order. Level 6-1X: “Detox” will not be a problem after some practice. Level 6-2X: “Ghost Tomb” is the easiest level in the chapter. Level 6-3X: “From Beyond” requires some timing.
If you are confident in your platforming skills, use the following level order. Start with Level 6-5X: as it is the longest level and has the most chances for error. It has no real safe routes, and features many risky jumps and obstacles. Next, move on to either Level 6-1X or 6-3X. The first has a difficult start, but once past the first two sets of saws, you can patiently complete it easily. Level 6-3X is more open, and has a difficult start. Avoid the saws carefully and watch your jumps on the moving platforms. If you miss and begin to fall, pause the game and exit to map to avoid death. Next, play Level 6-4X. It just requires time and patience. Practice it beforehand to get a solid route through the first half of the maze. Once towards the end, pay attention to the moving saws and watch for appropriate openings. Finish with Level 6-2X. There are only a few dangerously positioned saws, and most of the level will depend on your skill on narrow platforms once the key has been retrieved. Pause the game and exit if you end up falling, and watch out for the final saw.
Easy “N#7*<1!23” achievement
Successfully complete the Glitch World level in Chapter 1. To access it, defeat the Boss in Chapter 1. Afterwards, there is a chance that the Bandage Girl will “glitch out”. When this happens, touch the Bandage Girl to access Glitch Level 1. Try repeating Level 1-1 until Bandage Girl “glitches”.
Easy “&*>?1$” achievement
Successfully complete the Glitch World level in Chapter 2. To access it, defeat the Boss in Chapter 2. Afterwards, there is a chance that the Bandage Girl will “glitch out”. When this happens, touch the Bandage Girl to access Glitch Level 2. Try repeating Level 2-10 until Bandage Girl “glitches”.
Easy “(=+66&1$” achievement
Successfully complete the Glitch World level in Chapter 3. To access it, defeat the Boss in Chapter 3. Afterwards, there is a chance that the Bandage Girl will “glitch out”. When this happens, touch the Bandage Girl to access Glitch Level 3. Try repeating Level 3-3 until Bandage Girl “glitches”.
Easy “^**5%_=+12” achievement
Successfully complete the Glitch World level on Chapter 4. To access it, defeat the Boss in Chapter 4. Afterwards, there is a chance that the Bandage Girl will “glitch out”. When this happens, touch the Bandage Girl to access Glitch Level 4. Try repeating Levels 4-6 until Bandage Girl “glitches”.
Easy “*|-0&&” achievement
Successfully complete the Glitch World level on Chapter 5. To access it, defeat the Boss in Chapter 5. Afterwards, there is a chance that the Bandage Girl will “glitch out”. When this happens, touch the Bandage Girl to access Glitch Level 5. Try repeating Levels 5-7 or 5-10 until Bandage Girl “glitches”.
Easy “N&8^2^%$1“” achievement
Successfully complete the Glitch World level in Chapter 6. To access it, defeat the Boss in Chapter 6. Afterwards, there is a chance that the Bandage Girl will “glitch out”. When this happens, touch the Bandage Girl to access Glitch Level 6. Try repeating Level 6-2 until Bandage Girl “glitches”.
Easy “Nostalgia” achievement
“Retro Warp Zones” are dark purple portals that are present in some levels. They will disappear awhile after you start the level, requiring you to reach them quickly.
Easy “Rare” achievement
To get the “Rare” achievement, your total time in The Forest (both Light and Dark Worlds combined) must be under about 300 seconds, and all 40 levels must have been completed. By repeatedly breaking your best times across all those levels, you will eventually get the achievement.
Easy “Wood Boy” achievement
To get the “Wood Boy” achievement, you must complete The Forest (Light World) in its entirety without dying once. If you die, all 20 levels must be repeated. Pausing the game and exiting to the level selection menu or switching characters does not count as dying. Difficult levels are 1-20, 1-19, 1-18, 1-11 and 1-12. Start with levels 1-20 and 1-19 because they are the longest with more chances for errors. After that, play level 1-18 and time the long jump properly. Then play levels 1-11 and 1-12. After those five difficult levels are completed, play 1-17 followed by the rest of the remaining levels. Be caution and choose safer routes over speed.

Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding achievement. To view your achievements and stats in Steam, select “Community”, “My profile”, “View all my games”, then the game and view stats.
