Mission select
At the title screen, press Up(2), Down(2), Left, Right, Left, Right, X, Circle(2), X, Start to unlock mission selection. Note: You can only choose the mission you have already completed. -From: Andre Peniche
After completing a mission, you can select it by pressing Option at the main menu. The mission number will appear in the bottom right corner.

Tower mode
Successfully complete the game by defeating the Boss in Mission 12 to unlock Tower (survival) mode.
Bonus characters in 2P Duel mode
Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding character in 2P Duel mode:
- Abobo and Burnov: Successfully complete Mission 6 in Story mode.
- Casey and Shannon: Successfully complete Floor 25 in Tower mode.
- Chin Taimei: Successfully complete Mission 7 in Story mode.
- Cody: Successfully complete Mission 5 in Story mode.
- Jake and Ashida: Successfully complete Mission 12 in Story mode.
- Jimmy Lee (from classic Double Dragon ): Successfully complete Floor 35 in Tower mode.
- Kodani and Jake: Successfully complete Mission 10 in Story mode.
- Linda and Linda M.: Successfully complete Mission 3 in Story mode.
- Mason: Successfully complete Mission 4 in Story mode.
- Mysterious Warrior: Successfully complete Floor 40 in Tower mode.
- Right Arm: Successfully complete Mission 8 in Story mode.
- Rowper: Successfully complete Mission 2 in Story mode.
- Sonny, Chin Seimei, and Yagyu Ranzou: Successfully complete Floor 30 in Tower mode.

- DD4_MASTER (Platinum): Collect all other trophies.
- GO_TO_JAPAN (Bronze): Complete Mission 6.
- OKADA_TOWER (Bronze): Complete Mission 8.
- TOWER_10F (Bronze): Clear the 10th floor.
- TOWER_20F (Bronze): Clear the 20th floor.
- TOWER_30F (Silver): Clear the 30th floor.
- TOWER_40F (Silver): Clear the 40th floor.
- TOWER_50F (Gold): Clear the 50th floor.
- TOWER_MASTER (Gold): Clear the 100th floor.
- STORY_CLEAR (Bronze): Complete all Missions.
