Life Span Extensions option
Successfully complete the Heroes Across Time scenario (scenario 9) to unlock the “Life Span Extensions” option.
Gallery bonuses
Have a saved game file from Dynasty Warriors 5 or Romance Of The Three Kingdoms 9 on your memory card to unlock “Heroes Across Times” (scenario 9) under the gallery. Alternately, successfully unite China in any scenario with any character.
Have a saved game file from Romance Of The Three Kingdoms 9 on your memory card to access six new character portraits in the Special Portraits under the gallery.
Unlock 100 Historical Officers by meeting them during the game to access Page 6 of the Special Portraits 2 ( Kessen 3 characters) under the gallery.
Unlock 200 Historical Officers by meeting them during the game to access Page 7 of the Special Portraits 2 ( Kessen 3 characters) under the gallery.
Ranks
There are five playable ranks: Free Officer, Vassal, Prefect, Viceroy, and Sovereign.
Floods
Floods occur usually in the southern regions and sometimes in the east and the west. Floods can destroy or damage the gates and destroy many crops. Start your army in the area around the Central Plains unless you want to keep rebuilding it every six to twelve months.
Earthquakes
Earthquakes usually hit in the western regions around Xia Pi, Xiao Pei, etc. around Sun Jian’s first capital. Earthquakes are not as bad as floods, but they inflict more damage to the gates. It is best to start in the Central Plains to avoid them.
Bow units
Bow units are weak against foot units, but are strong against horse units; however, bow units are only effective when they attack horse units from a distance. At close range, the two units are even.
Oath Of The Peach Garden video
This is an intermission sequence where Liu Bei meets his two brothers, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei and gets help from Jian Yong to end the chaos. The only characters you can get this video with are Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, and Jian Yong. It will appear when you play the first years.
Yellow Turban video
You will unlock this intermission sequence with all officers. Play the first years and it will appear as soon as you start.
Easy money
Have a started fame of at least 300, because you will lose around 220 of it with this trick. When you have your officer, select a free city for him to live in, then establish a very small personal unit and declare your independence. Once you control the city, you will also control the city’s gold. Simply drain their gold into your account. City’s like Xu Change have a starting bank of about 35,000. Then, have your army turn rogue and disband. You will lose about 230 fame for those moves, but you will keep the money. You are now a free officer with 35,000 in the bank in less than two months of work.
Easy duels
If you have a higher War skill than your opponent and get in a duel, tap X at the start of the duel to increase the chance of you automatically defeating them, instead of having to spend the time selecting commands. Note: This trick works more often against petty outlaws and villains than other officers.
