Bonus characters
Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding character:
- Luigi: Defeat the World 1 mid-Boss.
- Rabbid Mario: Defeat the World 2 mid-Boss.
- Peach: Defeat the World 2 Boss.
- Rabbid Yoshi: Defeat the World 3 mid-Boss.
- Yoshi: Defeat the World 4 mid-Boss.
Gold weapons
Successfully complete a world’s secret level to unlock gold weapons.
Weapon locations
Search the indicated location to find the corresponding weapon:
World 1
Rumble Bee: Collect all the coins after activating the first red ring in World 1-1 to find the weapon inside a chest.
Turbine: Successfully complete the World 1-2 bonus stage by collecting all the blue coins. To find the bonus stage, go through the right cannon followed shortly after by another one in World 1-2.
Rainbow Runner: Collect all the coins after activating the red ring near the stone maze area in World 1-4 to find the weapon inside a chest.
Spike Striker: Successfully complete a challenge in World 1-5 to find the weapon. After crossing the wooden bridges, hit the green switch, and enter the blue cannon. Once inside, collect 20 coins in 20 seconds.
Bowser Basher: After collecting the Spike Striker, return to the wooden bridges, and hit all the switches. Activate the red ring that appears, then collect all the coins to get the weapon.
Killer Extinct: Go through the blue cannon and collect all the rings to find the weapon inside a chest.
Bwah Blaster: Activate a yellow switch to activate the red ring. Collect all the coins to find the weapon inside a chest.
World 2
Hog Wild: At Peach’s Castle, push boxes onto a frosty path until you gain access to a red ring. Activate it and collect all the coins to get the weapon.
Bwahnzai Bill: Push a ball in World 2-1 to allow you to activate a red ring. Collect all the coins to get the weapon.
Brute: Progress through World 2-3 until you reach a cannon and chest. Progress through the cannon and collect all the blue coins to get the weapon.
Prickly Persuader: While crossing the wooden bridges, go through the red ring, and collect all the coins to get the weapon.
Thunderceptor: After collecting the Prickly Persuader, continue down the path, and activate a yellow switch. Shortly ahead, go through the blue cannon, and collect all the coins within the allotted time to get the weapon.
Special Delivery: In World 2-8, activate the red ring in the frost maze, then collect all the coins to get the weapon.
World 3
Thorn Scorn: In World 3-1, go through a tube to activate the red ring. Collect all the coins to get the weapon.
Crosshead Orb: Go through a blue cannon followed by saving Toadette. Then, collect all the coins to get the weapon.
No Pity Kitty: It is found next to the Boo statue.
Hydrant Hammer: Go through the blue cannon immediately after the Boss battle, then collect all the coins to get the weapon.
Brunnehildea: At the end of World 3-7, activate the red ring and collect all the coins to get the weapon.
Royal Rabbid: Collect the statues and activate the red ring, then collect all the coins to get the weapon.
Ultimate weapons
Successfully complete the game to unlock the Dig ability, which allows you to find hidden areas around Peach’s Castle (one for each world). These areas contain secret (extremely difficult) challenges. Complete them to get money and the ability to purchase ultimate weapons. There are eight total ultimate weapons, one for each character, and it can be a primary or secondary weapon, depending on the character. Each of them are the highest damaging weapons of their kind and each increases damage by 10% against Mid-bosses. Complete the indicated challenge to unlock the corresponding ultimate weapon for purchase at the Battle HQ:
- Luigi – Up Close & Personal (Precision): Successfully complete Ultimate Challenge 2, then purchase this primary weapon from the Battle HQ.
- Mario – Grid Gavel (Melee): Successfully complete Ultimate Challenge 1, then purchase this secondary weapon from the Battle HQ.
- Peach – Scubam! (Grenaduck): Successfully complete Ultimate Challenge 3, then purchase this secondary weapon from the Battle HQ.
- Rabbid Luigi – Righteous Rocket (Rocket): Successfully complete Ultimate Challenge 1, then purchase this secondary weapon from the Battle HQ.
- Rabbid Mario – Kite Commando (Boomshot): Successfully complete Ultimate Challenge 3, then purchase this primary weapon from the Battle HQ.
- Rabbid Peach – Iron Curtain (Sentry): Successfully complete Ultimate Challenge 2, then purchase this secondary weapon from the Battle HQ.
- Rabbid Yoshi – Kimono No No (Rumblebang): Successfully complete Ultimate Challenge 4, then purchase this primary weapon from the Battle HQ.
