INTRODUCTION ****************************************************************************** Hello, and welcome to my FAQ/Walkthrough for DDR Hottest Party, part of the famous Dance Dance Revolution series, for the Nintendo Wii! In this FAQ, you'll information on all the songs, as well as the means to get through the Groove Circuit Mode and what comes of it. Of course, DDR is a type of game that relies heavily on one's own ability, so there's only so much help I can provide. I will try to give heads-ups on what to expect, though. ****************************************************************************** 2. FAQ ****************************************************************************** Q: What is Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party? A: DDR Hottest Party is Konami's introduction of the Dance Dance Revolution series to the Nintendo Wii, fully utilizing its unique controls to their greatest effect. Q: How does one play Dance Dance Revolution games? A: It's actually pretty simple. Your "controller" has four directions: left, down, up, and right, which are shown at the top of your play screen. You select a song. As the song plays, arrows will start scrolling up to your top line. When an arrow scrolling up reaches the line of arrows at the top, you must "step" on the direction matching that arrow's direction. If two arrows come up at once, you must press both at once. If a green "freeze" arrow appears, you must hold that step at the beginning until the freeze arrow ends. Q: Okay, that's the basics. Now, how do I use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk? A: During play, if you have Hand Markers turned on, you'll see orange markers on the left and right arrows. For those, you need to shake the proper control given its side: the Remote for the right, and the Nunchuk for the left. Q: Do I have to play with the Hand Markers or the Gimmicks? A: No. Go to OPTIONS on the Music List and you can turn those off for any of the players. Q: How many songs in this mix? A: There are 50 songs in this mix. 26 are open by default, and the other 24 you unlock through Groove Circuit Mode, or by play time. Q: Are there any repeats from old mixes in this game? A: The entire game is brand new. This means that there aren't any repeats from arcade or console mixes, from America, Europe, or Japan. That said, there are some REMIXES of certain classic DDR tunes you may recognize. Q: How do I unlock new songs? A: The main means of unlocking songs is through Groove Circuit Mode. Whenever you complete a venue's "Request" or "Battle", you'll be given the songs you played in those sections. Q: Is this like any arcade mix? A: No, this game was designed from the ground up to be entirely new and unique to the Nintendo Wii. Different announcer, different characters, and different background animations. There are some things that have been preserved, such as the basic song wheel, the "rating" for each difficulty, and other basic things. Q: Can I change the arrow speed? Sudden? Hidden? Reverse? Dark? A: Nope. Apart from Freeze Arrows and Jumps, you can't switch anything else around in this mix. Q: Is there any Nonstop Mode? Challenge Mode? Endless Mode? Doubles Mode? Lesson Mode? Training Mode? A: 'Fraid not. Workout Mode has Courses, and the main game has the Battle Mode, but other than that, none of the truly challenging modes made it in. Q: Who is NAOKI? A: Naoki Maeda has been with Konami for many years. He is the leader of Konami AM Internal Sound Team, who are in charge of coming up with songs for each new DDR release. He's responsible for many songs throughout DDR-dom, under lots of artist names. His styles run several levels, but seem to have distilled recently down to euro beat and euro trance. His artist names include: Omega (the symbol), 100-200-400, 1479, 180, 190, 190', 200, 270, 290, 8 bit, B3-PROJECT, BIG-O, BLUE DESTROYERS, Crystal Aliens, DANDY MINIERO, d-complex, DJ KAZU, DE-SIRE, DE-STRAD, DIVAS, DR. VIBE, FACTOR-X, FIXX, KTz, Luv UNLIMITED, mitsu-O!, MR. DOG, MUSTACHE MEN, N&S, N.M.R, NM, NO.9, NW260, RE-VENGE, RevenG, Stone Bros., TailBros, THE FINAL BAND, THE SURRENDERS, UZI-LAY, Z, ZZ. Q: I think a genre you have listed is incorrect. A: Tell me what you think it should be, but present a good case, because I've asked a lot of people about this subject. ****************************************************************************** 3. How to Dance = ================== Selecting Free Play Mode will put you in the standard DDR setup. --- Select Number of Players You need to first tell the game how many people are playing. It can figure out how many connections you have, so make sure all connections are live before selecting. --- Select Your Style Single Mode: This is a 1-player mode using the pad you used to start the game. Multi Mode: This is a 2-4 player mode where each player uses a pad. Battle Mode: This is a 1-2 player mode where two dancers go head to head to see who can get the best score. Friendship Mode: This is a 2-4 player mode similar to Multi Mode, except everyone steps to one stepchart. Whoever gets the BEST judgment for each step is what's counted. Sync Mode: This is a 2-4 player mode similar to Multi Mode, except everyone steps to one stepchart. Whoever gets the WORST judgment for each step is what's counted. --- Select Character From this screen, you can select which dancer you want to play as. Pick with either the Pointer or the Control Pad. Press + or - to switch the character's outfit. --- Select Music Use Left and Right to switch songs. Tap Up or Down to change the difficulty. Press A to select. Alternatively, you can use the arrows on the menu itself. Point to them using the Wii Remote to scroll, then select with A. Press + to sort. Changing the sorting will change it from the default "by color" setup to an alphabetical list where you can pick the letter, to by BPM from slowest to fastest, to by step difficulty, based on the current difficulty you have selected, and your "favorites", which is measured by the total score from all your plays of the song divided by the number of the difficulty each time you played. Difficulties: Beginner (BEG): Almost all songs are 1-footers. Don't play this for too long if you wish to get better. Basic (BAS): Most songs range from 2 to 5 feet. This is pretty simple if you're getting used to DDR. Difficult (DIF): Most songs range from 4 to 7 feet. Largely, you'll find that steps reflect how the music goes, as opposed to just being on the beat. Expert (EXP): Most songs range from 6 to 10 feet. These are the tough ones where they focus on two things: matching the song's notes exactly, and/or kicking up the difficulty to give you pains. Below the song graphic, you'll see the BPM for the song, which may be dynamic. If you can't figure out what song you want, you can select RANDOM. This will automatically pick a random song at the current difficulty. You will not be able to adjust anything once you hit the RANDOM button. Select DANCE STAGE to pick which stage you wish to play on. Default is Random. Select OPTIONS to bring up the options listed below: Hand Markers: You can turn these on or off for each player. Hand Markers simply replace other arrows, anyway. Freeze Arrow: You can turn these on or off for each player. Gimmicks: You can turn these on or off globally. --- Are You Ready? The main field consists of the arrows and the Step Zone, which is a line of arrows on the screen. As the song plays, arrows will begin scrolling along the screen. As the arrows reach the Step Zone, you need to step on those arrows. If you see a green Freeze Arrow, you need to step on that arrow and hold it until the Freeze Arrow ends (you don't need to remove your foot when it ends, just stay on it until it ends, and move your foot at your leisure). On the top of the screen is the Dance Meter. It starts about half full. As you step properly, it'll fill more. If you misstep, your Dance Meter will start emptying. If it empties completely, game over. On the bottom of the screen is the difficulty (in case you forgot), and your score as it tallies up. Also in the middle of the screen, you'll see words pop up as you step: MARVELOUS (if turned on): You stepped precisely on the arrow. Combo continues, the dance meter increases, and you get the maximum possible score from that step. PERFECT: You stepped more or less precisely on the arrow. Combo continues, the dance meter increases, and you get the maximum possible score from that step. GREAT: You just about stepped on the arrow. Combo continues, the dance meter increases, and you get half the maximum possible score for the step. GOOD: You're off on the step by a bit. Combo stops, but the dance meter doesn't change. You get no points. ALMOST: You're off on the step by quite a bit. Combo stops, and your dance meter decreases. You get no points. BOO: You completely missed the step. Combo stops, and your dance meter decreases. You get no points. OK!: You stepped on the whole Freeze Arrow. You get the normal maximum score for a step. NG: You stepped off the Freeze Arrow before it ended. Combo continues, but your Dance Meter will decrease. You get no points. Also marked on the screen is your combo, which is how many MARVELOUS, PERFECTs and GREATs you have in a row. The announcer will tell you when you hit 100 combo, 200, etc. --- Evaluation Once you complete the song, you'll see an Evaluation Screen. You'll receive a letter grade, a tally on how many of each step you got, your maximum combo, and your score. Your numerical score is based on a function of your steps and combo. I don't know the exact algorithm yet, though. Your letter grade is based strictly off your steps. I don't know the algorithm at the moment, but I imagine it's based on the older MAX2/Extreme style, where a PERFECT and OK counts for two dance points, a GREAT for one, and the rest for nothing. I have no proof of this, though. The grades are AAA, AA, A, B, C, D, and E. The highest grades are for the best stepping, and E is for a failed song. Your numerical score is a maximum of 50 million plus 5 million times the difficulty of the song. So, a song with a difficulty of 1 would have 55 million as a max score, while a 10 will have a max of 100 million. ====================== 3D. Using Your Hands = ====================== New to this game is the concept of Hand Markers. Well, to be honest, since DDR Extreme (US PS2), there has been the concept of using the EyeToy for hand markers, but this is an improved variation on that that doesn't require a camera. So, as you step, you'll see orange diamonds scroll up the left and right sides. These mean that you need to shake the Remote (right) or Nunchuk (left) to hit them. Also, there are Freezes for Hand Markers, too, so you pretty much just need to keep the hand moving while it goes, but you don't need to go crazy with the shaking. Now, this concept is slightly difficult because of the concept of timing, as in "when" exactly does one shake the Remote, and how can you get it precise enough? The best way I found is to hold each part upright, with your thumb and index finger firmly on the part, but the other three fingers holding it loosely. When the marker comes up, "drop" the Remote/Nunchuk by turning your hand inward, releasing it with your bottom three fingers, but still holding on with your thumb and index, and ending palm downward, then bringing it back up. The timing should be that you hit the bottom of your "drop" right at the marker. Sounds complicated, doesn't it? Well, that's just one method. Some people like using the Remote/Nunchuk as maracas in that manner. Regardless, if this is all too complicated for you, you're certainly able to turn the markers off in the Options. Unfortunately, you have to do so every time you fire up the game. ============== 3E. Gimmicks = ============== Gimmicks are arrows that are not standard. There are several different kinds, and each acts differently. Some will appear on any game where you have them turned on, and some will only appear during Battles. Here's a list of the Gimmicks you'll face: Screen Stomper: This arrow with a spherical bracket needs to be stepped on so you keep the "Screen Block" away, basically a large sphere that obscures your lower vision. Double Stomp: This arrow needs to be stepped on twice; once again one beat after the last step. Foot Destructor: This spiky thing will hurt your Dance Meter if you step on it. However, if your foot is already on the direction when it comes up, it thankfully will not go off. Foot Confuser: These red-sphered arrows rotate and don't fall into the step- chart as normal, but they're just like any other arrow. Foot Missile/Hand Missile: These blocky objects need to be hit to send to the other side, where they will enter your opponent's chart. They're probably the most annoying gimmicks, as you need to watch where they land and all. =================================== 3F. Dancing Tips for the Beginner = =================================== KEEP PRACTICING! So, you've just got into DDR, eh? Good for you! You've become a part of a cult sensation that still holds tons of respect in arcades across the country! This game will probably seem quite overwhelming to you at first, especially if you watch people play it and watch them do 9-footers. Don't sweat it. You CAN be as good as them with the proper practice and effort. So, to begin, use the Tutorial the game provides you. It will walk you through the basics and coach you to be a better dancer. Here are some tips I can give you as a beginner: 1. Get a good feeling for the beat. People who have performed with music have an advantage. People in marching band have a serious advantage. ~_^ You'll be stepping to the beat in these early stages, so get used to it now. 2. Now that you have the beat, you must "find the arrows". Yeah, sure. I know they're right there in front of you, to your sides, and behind you, but can you hit them without looking? Early on, you'll find that's your biggest problem: taking a step and not landing on the arrow. If you have to look, look, but that tactic won't last forever, so before a song takes off, take some cursory steps to make sure you're hitting arrows. 3. Keep your center. Especially on cheap pads with no definition, you'll find yourself often taking leave of the center of the pad as you continue stepping. If there's a break in the song, look down to make sure you're in the center. 4. Use the balls of your feet. You may notice, after some days of a lot of playing, that your ankles will start hurting. That's normal, and it's happened to most everyone I know that DDRs. This is your feet telling you to not step with your heels, but with the front of the foot. Get into that habit. 5. Now that you have these basics, head into Beginner Mode and start tackling songs. In particular, get used to the speed of the songs, as well as the speeding-up, slowing-down, and stopping some songs do. When that just gets too easy, take a deep breath and head into the real DDR world with Basic Mode. Try to keep your songs at three feet or below, but don't be afraid to venture out into the great unknown. ======================================= 3G. Dancing Tips for the Intermediate = ======================================= KEEP PRACTICING! Well, you're definitely not a n00b anymore (pardon my French). You're at the point where you wouldn't completely humiliate yourself at the arcades, but you probably won't impress many people there. In fact, you may just bore them with your simple steps. It's time to go to the next level. So, first tip is to KNOW THE SONGS. You don't necessarily need to memorize the steps, but have a basic understanding of the song before you go into it. Even memorize the music itself, the lyrics, etc. so you can whistle along. Know where the tempo changes may occur, where stops are. Most importantly, know where the songs musical notes occur in the melody, because these will be mostly what you step. Now that we're heading into dangerous territory, there is one big rule that I have to stress right away: Remember how in the last part I told you to "find your center"? Well, you've found it by now, so now it's time to GET OFF IT. That's a crutch that's let you into the game, but it will hold you back later on. What you have to learn is to return your feet to the center as rarely as possible, if at all. Move your feet from one arrow to the next, and don't move them unless you have an arrow to go to. This is probably the hardest thing you'll ever have to learn as a DDR player. Once you've relinquished your grip on the center, you only stand to improve up to the highest reaches of DDR-dom. This actually leads to the other major point of going intermediate: Eighth notes. Those are those off-colored ones. You'll have to deal with a lot of them, so learn to love them now. This is actually a good first step to leaving the center, because you are absolutely required to step three or more arrows in succession, and you'll have no time to return to the center at all. Use groups of three eighth notes to figure how to properly move between arrows; combinations such as up-left-down, where your right foot goes on up, left foot goes on left, and your right foot is already carrying back towards the down arrow, for example. Once you get strings of three down, you'll be ready to tackle longer strings, of four, five, seven, even nine if they're not too tangly. So, for this end, you'll want to go for songs of four to six feet in difficulty, as well as treading into the pink pink waters of Difficult Mode. Just about all songs of this difficulty have at least several eighth notes to give you practice. Take these opportunities to develop your step combinations for your own style, so you'll be ready to use them when they appear again in harder songs. Also, it may behoove you to get into Workout Mode and repeatedly hammer some songs, particularly those of a brisk pace. This is a good first step to building up all-important stamina. =================================== 3H. Dancing Tips for the Advanced = =================================== KEEP PRACTICING! All right. You're through messing around, and through getting condescending looks from your peers at the arcade. It's time to show them what you can really do and kick it up a notch or three. First, you better have mastered the stuff from the previous sections. I want to be able to yell out a song title and for you to hum it right there so you know what it sounds like. I don't wanna see your feet touch that center, soldier, or you'll drop and give me fifty. At this point, you should also have quick enough eye-foot coordination so that matching arrows on the screen with proper steps is second-nature. Now, for some new tactics: Chaos. You'll soon find as you reach the higher levels, that not all arrows are quarter notes and eighth notes. You'll find sixteenths, twelfths, and thirty-second notes thrown in to mess you up. Very rarely will they be in random. Almost always, they'll match up with how the song goes, so you'll at least have that going for you. So, a thorough knowledge of the songs will allow you to surmount this hurdle with little difficulty. Taps. This is the name I like to give eighth notes all on the same arrow. These are always a pain, because you have to train your foot to tap rapidly on the same arrow for a possibly long time, and it can really wear you out. There's no easy way to get around this, you just have to learn it as you go. Gallops. This is the popular name for a series of steps that has two sixteenth note steps together, then two sixteen notes of dead space, then two note steps together, and so on. When you step these notes, you'll feel like a horse gallopping, which derives the name. Oftentimes, these notes will be strung so that the last note in one gallop is the first note of the next gallop. To properly step these, leave your last-stepping foot in place, so it'll be ready to step the next gallop while your other foot moves to the next note. This leads to the final tactic. Axis of Rotation or "crossovers". Contrary to popular belief, you do not have to have your upper body directly facing the screen at all times. A very important tactic for the toughest songs is turning your body so that making truly difficult steps becomes easier. Using alternating feet on long series' of eighth notes is far less taxing than taking two or more eighth notes with one foot. The best way to start turning your body is with left-down-right eighth note combos. Left foot on the left arrow, right foot on the down, and turn so that your left foot hits the right arrow. It'll be very disorienting at first, but the hard songs will really take it out of you if you don't learn. After learning a basic turn, learn to maintain your body at a 90 degree angle to the screen for extended periods of time, and then taking it further by rotating 180 degrees, or even 270 and 360, if you're brave enough to take your eyes off the screen. Finally, it's important to be in relatively good shape for this. You have to have the proper stamina and leg strength to pull off the toughest ones, because rather dexterous and tiring feats will be required of you, so keep pounding at it, do hard songs repeatedly to build up strength, and push yourself harder and harder to go all the way up to the great green Expert Mode. And lastly, never tackle 10-footers without a good insurance plan backing you up. ^_^ ****************************************************************************** 4. LICENSED COVERS (Yellow Songs) ****************************************************************************** These are all the songs that are open by default. I can't stress this enough: NONE of these songs are by the original artists. No time to waste, now a new day begins Dreams are for ones that believe in the soul Who has the courage to carry it all Make it come true, what's the point of being scared Now is the time, won't you let it out? What do you see in the blink of an eye What can you find when your heart can decide Not knowing how to describe what's inside Oh, show what you got, let it out as you feel Scared to go on, afraid of what people say No time for that, just step out towards your way How would you say, you're reborn on this day? THE REASON = ================ UNLOCK: Beat Request on Tectonic Venue Artist: Black Rose Garden Genre: Rock BPM: 85-98 Difficulty: BEG: 1 BAS: 3 DIF: 7 EXP: 9 Play Notes: The song starts at 85, then goes up to 98 once the rhythm gets going, but it's not really easy to notice, anyway. Also, there are two stops: one just before the rhythm begins, and another about halfway through. Expert Notes: Hard and slow means lots of sixteenths. The good news is that the rhythm is pretty constant through most of the song. Once you get to the end, the thirty-second notes begin, making things even more hairy. --- Lyrics: Howling at the full moon Fight against the protests We have no function to cry When was the day that we lost our souls Forgot about myself, forgot about instinct Artificial landscapes, and living asthetic We just stared at the full broken skies On and on and we're rusting But we will not stop breathing the air Hello Howling at the full moon Fight against the protests We have no function to cry Dreaming inside of the dream Burning like a bug in a flame Give us the reason to be here --- Song Type: Konami Original Artist Notes: I don't know much about BRG, but they do also have a song in DDR SuperNOVA 2. ============== 5T. At a relatively slow tempo, these aren't too difficult, but they are persistent. --- Lyrics: Take my hand Boy, you don't have to be afraid Because I know we're smart enough To take a chance rather than lose it Without a try Can you feel my heart start beating for this moment? And I want you to come close to me Now let me be the one for you completely Boy, you just take my breath away Just every time you're kissing me You're touchin' my soul Now let me be the one for you completely Boy, you just take my breath away Just every time you're kissing me You're touchin' my soul Kiss me You're touchin' my soul --- Song Type: Konami Original Artist Notes: This song was composed by Naoki Maeda. =========================== 5U. SUPER SAMURAI = =================== UNLOCK: Beat Battle on EV Venue Artist: jun Genre: Speed Rave BPM: 170 Difficulty: BEG: 2 BAS: 6 DIF: 8 EXP: 10 Play Notes: There are several stops throughout this tune. The first three occur in the opening "build-up" section. There are a few more over the course of the song, including one that's almost miniscule. Expert Notes: As you'd expect from a venerable ten-footer, lots of long streams with crossovers, sixteenths thrown in liberally, and jumps and freezes all over the place. Watch out for the latter half, where long clusters of sixteenths plague the chart. --- Lyrics: I'm a samurai coming to NYC I'm a samurai coming to NYC I'm a samurai coming to NYC To NYC, to NYC I'm a samurai coming to New York, you're caught In the reign of the warlord, looking for my sport The swords get drawn The enemies are warned And bodies will fall when a new day dawns I'm a samurai coming to NYC To NYC, to NYC You paid the price You won't survive Let my sword slice and dice And deal death precise when I Rise out of the shadows for heavy battles Let my foes run then hide On the streets of the Big Apple Explosion attack 100-hand slap I crack skulls on katana impact Back for revenge, I'm sent to cause mayhem Nobody's friend, I tend to leave dead men You're out! I'm a samurai coming to NYC I'm a samurai coming to NYC I'm a samurai coming to NYC To NYC, to NYC --- Song Type: Konami Original Artist Notes: jun is short for Junko Karashima, a female BEMANI artist who works closely with Naoki. ================== 6B. tokyoEVOLVED = ================== Artist: NAOKIunderground Genre: Techno BPM: 70-280 Difficulty: BEG: 3 BAS: 7 DIF: 9 EXP: 10 Play Notes: The song starts at 70, then speeds up to 280 quickly for the rest of the song. There are also several stops at various points in the song, which I really can't prepare you for, for a reason I'll explain below. Expert Notes: Here's the ultimate truth about the hardest song in this game. IT CHANGES. Every time you play it on Expert (and probably on the other difficulties, too), you may be playing a different track. Now, to be fair, the differences aren't across the entire track. It seems that only in the latter half will the game throw in a new variation. Regardless, in the end, you're still playing an intensely hard song with lots of streams, jumps, and stops. You're just going to have to be the best watcher ever, know the patterns, and do your best. --- Song Type: Konami Original Artist Notes: See the FAQ for info on Naoki. ****************************************************************************** 7. GROOVE CIRCUIT MODE ****************************************************************************** Groove Circuit is the "Story" mode for this game, although it's more along the lines of the "Master Modes" for the recent PS2 DDR games. The idea is that you select a venue, then perform songs on that venue, oftentimes completing a specific challenge. If you pass, you'll unlock stuff and move on to the harder challenges. In almost every venue, there's a specific pattern to how you tackle the songs: First is the "Mission", where you are given your entire list of songs to play with, a condition, and you have to complete a certain number of songs in that condition (such as beating three songs with at least a "B" on Basic or higher). As long as you've unlocked the songs, you can pick any songs you want. Completing the "Mission" will give you two new stages to play on. Next is the "Request". Your conditions (as above) are still in effect, but now you have to complete certain specific songs that the game "requests" for you to play. Most times, these songs are new unlockables. Completing all the requested songs unlocks the songs for regular play, and will also give you the stage you played on during this part. Lastly is the "Battle". You are now in a forced 1-player Battle Mode against another character, the Venue Master. In addition to meeting the conditions, you also must score higher than your opponent, and this is done on a new song, as well. Completing this battle will unlock the song, the venue you played on, and a new outfit for the character you played against. You may also unlock a new Workout Program if you have all the songs for it. Futhermore, completing enough venues will unlock new ones. As you can see from my separating, there are "rounds" to GC Mode. A "round", as I define it, is a trip completely around all nine venues. The most important round is the first, as it's where you get almost all the new songs as you go through all the venues. ================= 7A. You may not alter it in any way, even if you ask me first, and that includes putting it in HTML format. Please don’t post this on your site unless you have express consent by me. I’ve put a lot of time into this. Give me some credit. All songs and their lyrics are copyright their respective owners. DDR is Copyright © 1998-2007 Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo. Currently, the following sites have permission to post my FAQ: www.cheatcc.com www.ign.com www.neoseeker.com I'm not going to allow people with small personal sites to post this FAQ. They may post the link on CheatCC with all the DDRHP guides, but, trying to keep updates, well, updated, I'll only allow large committed sites that I trust. ======================= 9B. E-mail Guidelines = ======================= If you wish to e-mail me, be sure to follow these guidelines: - Make ABSOLUTELY sure I haven't already answered your question in the guide. - Make sure it has something to do with DDR Hotest Party. I don't want spam, chain letters, offers for friendship. Don't bother me with info on other DDR games, really. I keep my ear pretty close to the ground about such things, and I'll probably know about it before you. Compliment me on the FAQ all you want, though. - Make sure you say "DDR Hottest Party" at one point in your e-mail. I have more than one DDR FAQ, and I can't always figure the question out without specifying what game you're asking about. - Asking how to beat a song will result in a deletion. There really are no tips to offer for DDR'ing besides what I have in my section. It has to come from your own skill and desire to pass. - Spell correctly and use proper grammar, please. If I can't understand your e-mail, it'll go to the junk pile. ============= 9C. Credits = ============= CJayC, SBAllen, and all webmasters for having this on their sites. Wikipedia, and all those involved, for info on several of the artists. Konami and the BEMANI studio, for their effort in bringing a superb game to the Wii. ===================== 9D. Version Updates = ===================== Version 0.8 - (10/14/07) - I'm missing lyrics for several songs. I totally got burnt out trying to transcribe them from video taping them, so I think I'll be waiting until the soundtrack comes from Japan (should be a couple of weeks) to see if there's a Lyrics booklet. If not, then at least I'll have high-quality, easily-pausable tracks to listen to. Version 1.0 - (11/5/07) - Well, it finally got here, and yes, there's a lyrics booklet. So, all the lyrics are complete, and Workout Mode has been added, so I guess we're pretty much done here. ==================== 9E. The Final Word = ===================== Well, congratulations to Konami. They've finally properly worked the hand concept into their games, as well as bringing an authoritative version of DDR to a Nintendo system. Now, I just want more original licenses, and more representation from the BEMANI artists (like dj TAKA or Tatsh). Take care and happy dancing!
