Arcade mode
Successfully complete Story mode to unlock Arcade mode.
Bonus missions
Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding mission:
- Gyrowing Challenge Mission: Collect 15 medals.
- Landmaster Challenge Mission: Collect 30 medals.
- Roadmaster Extra Mission 1: Successfully complete Story mode.
- Roadmaster Extra Mission 2: Collect 50 medals.
- Walker Challenge Mission: Collect 5 medals.
Secret Peppy mission
Successfully complete the “Sector Beta” mission. The first set of portals will now be unlocked. Progress until you complete the mission on Fichina to unlock the Gravmaster transformation for the Landmaster. Return to Titania and progress until you reach the portal area. Use the Gravmaster to rise toward the portal and trigger a cutscene. Note: A medal can be collected just before the cutscene begins. Afterwards, you will be playing as Peppy in a special mission. Additionally, do some barrel rolls to see his reaction.
Black and Retro Arwings (without Amiibo)
Collect all 70 medals to unlock the Black and Retro Arwings (without Amiibo).
Sound test
Successfully complete Arcade mode to unlock the “Sound Test” option.
Medals
Successfully complete one of the following tasks to unlock a medal:
Corneria
- Get 300 hits.
- Collect all three super gold rings. Ring 1 is at the exit of the first area, after flying through the waterfall. Ring 2 is obtained by destroying the large robot at the top of ravine. Ring 3 is obtained after flying over the arched buildings.
- A hidden medal can be found behind a locked door.
- A hidden medal can be found inside the Strider container.
- Defeat the Boss Core. To reach the alternate path, transform into a Walker after passing two archways near the exit, then step on the red switch. To destroy the core, destroy only one of the radar dishes, enter the opening, and destroy the core that appears.
Sector Alpha
- Get 300 hits.
- A hidden medal can be found by a Mambo drone on the top of a Dorisby.
- Clear first Salvadora compartment. This begins in the first room of Phase 2. Destroy all enemies that enter the room, then go to the cockpit to see if any enemies remain.
- Collect all three super gold rings. They are found in Phase 2. To reach Ring 1, enter the elevator room, jump onto the moving platform, and look in the small chamber behind you. Ring 2 is at the start of the hallway. Ring 3 is at the end of the hallway with the lasers.
- Protect allied carriers from Colby battleships. The first ship to save is directly in front of you at the start. Save it by destroying the frigate on the left. The second carrier will appear shortly afterwards on the right side. As soon as Falco shouts “Fox, eyes up top!”, shoot down the Destroyer.
Area 3
- Get 220 hits.
- Collect ten medal tokens. Enter the Gyrowing and deploy Direct-i on either side of a gold coin. Then, go to the two platforms near the vertical tunnel. To get the last two tokens, go to the platform with the locking console.
- Hack all Alpaca Tanks after colony power is restored.
- Activate Gigarilla using Direct-i and lure it to the carrier with Andross’s face near the right side of portal. After he throws it, collect the medal from the area.
- Successfully complete the mission without gyrowing.
Zoness
- Get 70 hits.
- Collect ten medal tokens.
- Activate the dormant left wing searchlight. Travel to the left side of the base and clear the area. Then, use Direct-i to turn it on, turn it off, and collect the medal.
- Deactivate the right wing shield generator last. When going to the generator, turn the one on the left side of the base, rescue Katt, then deactivate the second one. Once done, collect the medal from the escape hatch.
- Do not get detected by searchlights.
Sector Beta
- Get 260 hits.
- Buzz one of the friendly carrier’s towers.
- Destroy all large cannon emplacements on the granby.
- Collect all three super gold rings.
- Prevent Peppy from retreating.
Titania
- Get 320 hits.
- Land on the platform on the right when the Crab Tanks first appear.
- A hidden medal can be found above the blockade on the way to the teleporter.
- Collect all three super gold rings.
- Destroy every Strider, Worm, and Alpaca.
Sector gamma
- Get 120 hits.
- Exit out of the rear hangar of the great Fox.
- A hidden medal can be found in the ring of asteroids near the teleporter.
- Collect all three super gold rings.
- Protect great Fox from damage.
Fichina
- Get 120 hits.
- Defeat Leon.
- Collect all three super gold rings.
- Destroy all the Boss legs at once.
- Destroy all Striders.
Fortuna
- Get 200 hits.
- A hidden medal is found floating above early vine.
- A hidden medal is found floating amid spiraling branches.
- Collect all three super gold rings.
- Destroy all Dodora Eggs.
Sector Omega
- Get 220 hits.
- A hidden medal is found in a ring of asteroids.
- A hidden medal is found tucked between sections of spiraling girders.
- Collect all three super gold rings.
- Take no damage during Phase 1w.
Corneria II
- Get 370 hits.
- Collect all three super gold rings.
- Destroy 30 enemies during Phase 2.
- A hidden medal is found in a building that Gigarilla can knock down.
- Destroy all breakable portions of the Boss.
Venom
- Get 170 hits.
- Shoot down a Star Wolf member in a trench.
- In corridor sequence, make turns left, right, right, left.
- Collect all three super gold rings.
- Shoot the fleeing Boss during the final chase.
Additionally, medals can be earned during the bonus missions for completing one of the following tasks:
Aquarosa – Hidden Target
- Successfully complete the mission in 2:10 or less.
- Take the alternate route during the first mission.
Salvadora – Peppy’s Fight
- Successfully complete the mission in 1:40 or less.
- Access the Titania teleporter.
Area 3 – Chaos At The Colony
- Get 200 hits.
- Choose the route after Aquarosa.
- Collect all three super gold rings.
Wolfen – Meddlesome Mercs
- Successfully complete all Story mode missions, including Fortuna and challenge Pigma during Sector Α.
- Successfully complete the mission in 2:00 or less.
Zoness – Sneak Attack
- Successfully complete the mission in 3:20 or less.
- Choose the route after Aquarosa.
- Collect all 10 Star Fox medal tokens.
Great Fox – En-Route Anomaly
- Get 100 hits.
- Choose the route after Meddlesome Mercs.
Asteroid Field – Treacherous Course
- Get 100 hits.
- Choose the route after Chaos at the Colony.
Hunter – Lone Wolf
- Successfully complete the mission in 1:40 or less.
- Successfully complete all Story mode missions, including Fortuna and challenge Wolf during Fortuna.
