At standard character color edit screen, select a female character. Choose any weapon, then hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 when the screen turns black. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. The color of the fourth article of clothing can now be changed. Note: This does not work on all costumes.
Go to the options menu and select the sound options. Select Japanese for the language option. Then, go to single player modes, museum, or character profiles. Select a character, then choose voice. Press L1, L2, R1, or R2 and a separate bow should be displayed, with name of the Japanese voice-over actor.

Successfully complete Chronicles Of The Sword mode, then save the game. The cleared saved game file will appear with a blue unicorn icon. Load it to start a new game at your previous experience level.
Purchase all character illustrations to unlock Vs. Special for purchase at Valeria's shop for 40,000 G. Alternately, play 418 Battles in Vs. Standard or Vs. Competition mode; or unlock the Lakeside Arena (no cage), Egyptian Temple (cage), and Grand Labyrinth (all three forms) to unlock it for purchase for 60,000 G.
Successfully complete all training sessions in Tutorial mode to unlock a weapon for that character. The weapon will be added to your inventory once you end Tutorial mode. Note: This can be repeated as many times as desired for all characters except custom and bonus characters.
Reach level 20 to be able to purchase the New Job in the items shop for 20,000 gold.
After completing Chronicles Of The Sword at least once and Tales Of Souls with numerous characters, the armor shop should start carrying the Type-X armor. Collect all pieces of the Type-X armor, including the wig and your female character will resemble Kos-Mos from the Xenosaga series.
In the museum, go to the character profiles and select any character desired. After the screen loads (with "Stage", "Camera", etc.), press L1 + R1 and the character will jump. Press L1 or R1 and the character will jump turn.
Select a character in any mode where it shows both combatants face to face. During the loading scene, press a button to hear your character say something.
During most of the intermission sequences in Tales Of Souls mode, a directional or attack button may appear in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Pressing the button (or buttons) promptly will result in a positive turn of events in the sequence, while failing to press the button(s) results in a negative turn of events. Endings vary the most, with dramatic differences in pressing or not pressing the buttons (some outcomes may be as drastic as your chosen character living or dying). Note: Once you have completed Tales Of Souls mode with a character, you can experiment with the possible outcomes using the "Event Viewer" in the Museum.
During Kilik's ending instead of A + G as prompted, press B + G to view a third ending.
During the replay after you or your opponent wins a round, press X, Circle, Triangle, or Square. A fifth victory pose can be viewed after scoring a "Perfect" or a "Ring Out" in a match, then not pressing any buttons.
During Xiangfa's victory pose, press Down + A and she will close her eyes.
At the "Name Entry" screen when creating a custom character, selecting letters, symbols, and numbers using X, Square, Triangle, or Circle creates a different input effect on the letter, symbol, or number. For example, Square results in a horizontal slash while Triangle results in a vertical slash. Pressing all four (Circle + Square + X + Triangle) knocks out the letter, symbol, or number.
Play 2,000 battles in Versus mode to unlock 29 items. Twenty-five of them are in the Create-A-Soul area, three are special art of the shopkeepers, and the last item is a katana called Kokuenra. Note: Some of the Create-A-Character items are the Type X items.
Go to "Options", "Game Settings", then "VS Standard". Set "Battle Count 1P" to "1" and make sure that "Handicap" is on. Then, go to Standard Versus mode. Select two characters from the same class (Monk, Ninja, etc.). Set player two's handicap to 0% so that you can kill them with one hit. Repeat the fight fifty times and you will have all disciplines for that class (even the "Soul of" disciplines). Do this for all classes and you will have every discipline for your character creations. Although this may seem like a long process, it is still easier than leveling up characters in the Chronicles Of The Sword mode.
Go to any shop and highlight anything you cannot afford or something you already have. If you try to buy the item, it will either say you do not have enough gold or that you already have it. However, if you rapidly press either X or Circle enough times, the shop keeper will get mad. Each has a unique move that they will do.
Enter an obscenity as a custom fighter name to have it censored.
As you are typing the name of your character at the character creation screen, press two buttons (X, Circle, Triangle, or Square) at the same time. The letter will fall off the board onto the floor. If you press X + Square + Triangle + Circle it will bounce in the air and fall to the floor.
You can make the store clerks' chest bounce by pressing X on an item then pressing X again to cancel.
In "Soul Arena", go to "Hard Workers" and try to get the fastest time possible. The faster the time, the more money you will get. Repeat this as much as desired.
When the match begins, crouch down and perform the Spinning Low Kick. This can be executed by pressing Down + Away while crouching and tapping Kick. Press Kick(5) for a black out. Press Kick only four times, wait for about a second, then repeat the process until the enemy has been defeated. This move is not easily blocked by any of the CPU opponents, and it does a lot amount of damage. If practiced, you can complete the game with a large amount of perfects. This can help immensely with gathering money in Tales Of Souls mode. The move Stone Backhand and Stone Fists are not as effective as Spinning Low Kick because the CPU controlled opponents have a large tendency to block almost any medium to high moves. Note: This move can be blocked later by tougher enemies, but be persistent.
You must win all battles with any character without continuing in order to fight Night Terror. Do the first battle, and always pick the first option on the screen after a battle. After the fight against Zasalamel, you choose the first option as always, then move on to the next battle. Soon, you will enter the labyrinth. You must fight a randomly generated character in complete darkness and Olcadan before fighting Night Terror. When fighting Night Terror, he will have the same moves as Nightmare and some special attacks. He is good but lacks speed while executing his attacks; do not underestimate him. Do some quick blows and when he charges up for a powerful attack, grapple him with a strong grapple. After he is defeated you should continue to the monastery as usual. When you defeat him you will unlock his biography and be able to fight against him once more in Tales Of Souls.
Select Cervantes for this fight. At the beginning of the fight, back far away from Colossus and press Up + A + K to shoot your pistol upwards. This will damage Colossus from a far distance and he will not be able to hit you with any strong attacks. However, his sword swiping attack has a far enough range to hit you. Since the pistol fires at a rapid rate, you can defeat him with about fourteen shots or less if you have the Soul Edge, or more shots if you are using another weapon. You can do this on the Hard difficulty setting as well, but you must defeat Cassandra with Valkerie and Sophitia with Soul Calibur before fighting Colossus.
The only way to damage Keres is with a counter hit (a hit while he is attacking). Since Keres uses a lot of throws, a good method is to use your character's crouching horizontal move. You should deal more damage to him than he does to you. If this does not work, add in evasion and defense but remember that Keres can only be damaged while he is attacking. Also, Keres does not stagger when you hit him.
