Quickly unlock board pieces

To bypass the nine day waiting period to unlock everything, start by using the pieces you have. Make sure to select each piece at least once. When a notification for more pieces arrives, select an easily replicated item, such as the coin, and fill the board with them. If done correctly, the new pieces will arrive within a couple minutes. Repeat this process until you have unlocked all board pieces. This process takes approximately one hour.

Doorman

Place a door in Edit mode, then tap it using the stylus to knock. Someone will knock back a certain number of times. Tap back, matching the number of knocks heard. After doing this a few times, a doorman will open the door.

Alternate hand pointer

Enter Edit mode and click either Analog-stick to display a box. Click the Left Analog-stick for a right hand and vice versa. Repeat to cycle through the available hands.

Alternate introduction sequence

Start the game on each day to see a different introduction sequence. Mario or other characters will do different things. For example, one day Mario will get squashed by a Thwomp. The next day Luigi will throw a Fire Flower at Mario.

Alternate reactions

Successfully complete the final level in 10 Mario Challenge or 100 Mario Challenge. When you meet up with Toad or Princess Peach, their response can vary depending on your costume. For example, Toad becomes stressed if he is rescued as Bowser. Toad greets you as “Captain” if you are dressed as Toad.

Alternate end stage music in Super Mario World

You can change a stage’s background music using the Bowser/Mushroom SFX tool. If you complete a stage in the Super Mario World theme while the Mushroom bonus stage alternate background music is playing, you will get the “Bonus Stage Clear” music instead of the normal theme.

Control course objects

Grab and shake various objects in the course builder screen to have them react differently. For example, Goombas will shrink down and fly away. Koopas will turn different colors.

Control title screen

After the game’s title appears on a demo stage background, tap the indicated area of the screen to get the corresponding effect:
