Trials HD also stood out for its graphics, which were far above average for an XBLA game. However, a major limitation of the engine required the game to take place indoors—a problem that has been solved for Trials Evolution. The new game features a huge variety of wide-open environments, and while it doesn't look quite as good as a top-notch retail release, it still looks amazing for a downloadable game.

Unfortunately, the sound doesn't fare nearly as well. The game begins with a truly awful rap song that was apparently written just for the game, and the in-game tracks range from decent piano melodies to mediocre heavy metal. Even more annoying are the ridiculous exclamations your biker makes whenever he jumps high or lands hard.
