3rd Strike Online Edition Gets Release Date

None

We always knew that Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition would be coming before the end of the summer, but we never really knew when. Well, as part of the gigantic dump of info Capcom has been giving us this year at the San Diego Comic-Con, we finally have a confirmed release date and price.

The official release date for Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition will be August 23rd for the PlayStation Network, and August 24th for the Xbox Live Arcade. The game will cost $14.99 or 1200 Microsoft Points.

A new trailer for the game also debuted at Comic-Con, promising three different visual modes, including Classic, which imitates previous 3rd Strike console releases, Arcade, which attempts to mimic the original 3rd Strike arcade machines, and Widescreen HD, which applies filters to smooth the games graphics for our current HD displays. The game will also feature a Tournament mode for up to eight players, a Trials mode to help newbies learn the game, integrated achievements and trophies, and built in replay sharing that allows you to instantly upload matches to your YouTube account.
