Age of Empires II HD Heads to Southeast Asia

Age of Empires II HD Heads to Southeast Asia

When it comes to games, about a year’s worth of support seems to be the average. After it passes that point, you can’t really expect too many additional add-ons or expansions. But, Age of Empires II HD is the exception. Even though the game is going to be turning four in April 2017, it still keeps getting more content. It’s next expansion, The Rise of the Rajas, will even be out next week.

Age of Empires II HD’ s The Rise of the Rajas follows four Southeast Asian civilizations. Pick it up, and the Burmese, Khmer, Malay, and Vietnamese factions will all be added to the game. These are added alongside the Gajah Mada, Suryavarman I, Bayinnaung, and Le Loi campaigns to your game, each one being fully voiced and connected to one of those four civilizations. You also get Battle Elephant and Imperial Skirmisher units, as well as five real world maps, five random maps, five special maps, 13 terrains, extra Scenario Editor items, and a Spectator Mode. It’s really a huge update.

Though, Age of Empires II HD still being supported shouldn’t be surprising. The original Age of Empires II was an amazing and revolutionary real-time strategy game, one of the best in the series. It was even ported to the DS and PlayStation 2. Of course the HD version would be just as well received.
