Even though Obsidian and SEGA have decided to put the kybosh on the Aliens RPG, Alpha Protocol is looking strong indeed. In fact, SEGA announced today that Alpha Protocol, the espionage RPG with a branching storyline, will be available to interested gamers on October 6, 2009. Alpha Protocol follows the actions of one Michael Thorton, a clandestine soldier who’s been forced to turn rogue after receiving his burn notice. While the narrative is obviously heavily influenced by popular action television and film IPs, the ability to craft your own protagonist and follow distinct paths through the story should make for an engaging experience.
