Black Ops 2 Getting Ranked Dedicated Servers

Black Ops 2 Getting Ranked Dedicated Servers

None

Ah dedicated servers. It’s one of the only remaining perks of being a PC gamer. Tired of dealing with immature racist and sexist comments from sore losers and ragequitters? Just find a server without them. Good times.

According to a recent tweet by Treyarch’s director of technology, Ranked Dedicated Servers will be a feature in the PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. This will go a long way toward ingratiating the game toward the hardcore PC community. It will also improve the quality of the Call of Duty community as a whole. No offense, but I don’t have to have my sexuality questioned when all I’m doing is testing out a new loadout.

Many of you remembered that Black Ops 1 received mod tools after their launch to help aspiring PC developers fiddle with the game. This was also seen as a gesture of good will to the PC community. Hopefully Black Ops 2 will follow in its predecessor’s footsteps in receiving mod tools as well. With both mod tools and dedicated servers, Black Ops 2 will finally start looking like a completely fleshed out PC release.
