In an interview with VideoGamer’s James Orry, Bungie Community and PR Director Brian Jarrard admitted that closing the door on the Halo franchise would be rash. As of right now, the company just isn’t sure what they’d like to do after Halo: Reach. “…we just don’t know at this point. I’m not really able to speculate on what we’re going to do after Reach.” Jarrard went on to say, “I wouldn’t confirm or deny at this point. We’re really excited to get Reach out the door. Beyond that, we’re not at liberty to say right now what’s next.”
Jarrard’s comments culminated with this nugget: “I think there’s a lot of work just to get Reach done between now and next fall. At that point anything’s possible. We’re going to keep looking at making the games we want to make. Maybe that’s Halo. Maybe it’s not. We’ll have to wait and see.” Ah yes, the waiting game. I wonder what the Vegas line would be on Bungie not releasing another Halo title. |
